Make Up 31: Arriving at GMTV Studios - April 21, 2009

.) Start with a fresh, clean face, free of any oil, dirt or makeup. Apply a foundation to your face (it should be the same tone as your skin) in downward strokes, either with a sponge or a brush. Using your fingers will make your foundation look too thick and obvious. Ensure you have applied foundation to your eyelids, and the inner corner of your eye, towards to bridge of your nose.

.) Apply a light, shimmery bronze colour to your eyelid, blending no further than the crease of your eye. There are to ways to achieve the thick brown line Taylor is supporting. The first, and easiest, is to take a piece of tape and stick it to your face, angling it upwards from the outer corner of your eye to wards the end of your eyebrow. Now, just take a dark matte brown shadow and apply it next to the tape, almost all the way to your eyebrow using a sponge applicator. Now take an eye shadow brush and blend the brown across your eye, almost to the halfway point. Now take a brown pencil eyeliner and draw a thin line across your top lashes, as close and you can get.

.) The other way is to use a brown pencil eyeliner, or a cream eyeliner using a brush and draw a line up towards your eyebrow. Take a q-tip or a sponge applicator and blend the colour inwards, drawing it into your crease and down to your lash line as you go. Now using the same eyeliner you used before, draw a thin line along your top lashes, keeping it as close as you can.

.) Take the same brown eyeliner and apply it along your lower lash line, keeping it below your water line. Apply three coats of black mascara to your upper lashes, and one to your lower.

.) Take a bronzy-peachy blush (if you don’t have one, use a little bronzer first, then a peachy blush over the top) and blend onto your cheekbones, then, using only the blush, apply a small amount to the apples of your cheeks.

.) Apply a lip balm or matte, natural-coloured lipstick to your lips.
