To start, because Taylor skintone is creamy and smooth in the video, you may want to apply a THIN layer of foundation. Make sure it's a water-based, smooth foundation used in small amounts. We recommend MAC Mineralise Satin Finish SPF 15 Foundation.
1. The focal point of Taylor's make-up in TDOMG is her eyes, so we'll start there. Start by applying a light, creamy coloured base like Mac cream colour base (Pearl) with your finger to give a smooth base to work on. Make sure you apply it all over the lid right up to under the brow. It will look really light to begin with, but it will lessen as you go on.
2. Next, start adding the green look to your eyelids by applying an eyeshadow like Mac Paint Pot (Greenstroke) just on the eyelid with a eyeshadow brush.
3. You'll notice in the video that the inner part of Taylor's eyes near the tearduct are really light, so add more eyeshadow like Mac Eyeshadow (Nylon) to lighten this part. Blend it slighty upwards. Also add a little (a little!) to the underneathe of your eyes
4. Now to really emphise the green/blue colour, add a colour like Mac Eyeshadow (Aquadesiac) to the outer 2/3 of the lid only, to preserve the lighteness of the inner lid.
5. Now take a eyeshadow brush and gently blend in any areas that need it.
6. Now we'll move on to her eyelashes and eyeliner. First, apply mascara like Mac Pro Lash to all your eyelashs, making sure you define each one. Apply a few coats, since Taylor eyelashes are very dark, thick and defined in this.
7. When adding the eyeliner, choose a soft one like Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil and first, use gentle strokes along your eyelash line to the outer 2/3 of the lid, again to preserve the lightness of the inner lid.
8. Then add eyeliner to your waterline, all the way along to the tearduct. You'll need to pull your eyes open a little for this. If you've got sensitive eyes, you can skip this one out.
9. To finish off the eyes, get a black eyeshadow and user it to gently blend the eyeliner a little SIDEWAYS. Do not blend upwards or blend too much or it will look too smokey. Blend just enough to make sure the eyeliner is a soft look.
10. Now, you can add the crystals to your eyes. Choose which eye to put them on, then gather how many crystals you'll need. You can get crystals like this from many craft shops, but we recommend the smallest ones from the set from Jo Anns.
11. Take a q-tip and remove the cotton from the end to it is just like a stick. Then apply a small blob of Duo Eyelash Adhesive to the end a dab it on where you want the crystals to go.
12. Take tweezers, pick up a crystal and then tap it on to where you've put the adhesive. You might want to look at a picture from the video to see exactly where to put them. It doesn't amtter if there is a little too much adhesive as it will dry clear.
13. Then round off the look by adding a soft pink colour lipgloss like Mac Plushglass Lipgloss to your lips for a soft, shimmer look.
14. And then to finish, you can also add a little blusher like Mac Powder Blush along your cheekbones to define them a little. Make sure you use a colour that compliments your skintone.
And that's that! Big thanks to Marisa for the donations and to MakeUp Geek's video that helped us create this look.
