1.) Wash and dry your hair as your normal routine. If you have thick curly hair, blowdry your hair using a diffuser, if you have thinner hair, preferable let it airdry. Then part your hair on the right side.
2.) Using a 1" to 1 1/2" curling tong, take sections of your hair no thicker than your thumb and wrap them around the curling iron. The first wrap around the curling iron should be away from your face, so the curl will fall that way when you unclamp. When you can feel the heat through your hair, it will be perfectly curled. Let your hair out of the curling iron gently, don't let it fall and bounce - this takes away the curl. Spray each curl lightly with hairspray, holding the bottle about two feet away from your head. Repeat all over, leaving out the front sections of you hair on either side.
3.) Take the smaller section of hair on your right side, and pull it out to the side. Hold the curling iron behind the hair, and wrap the hair around the curling iron. When you let go it should fall so it flicks out from your face. For the larger section on the left side of your face, pull it directly out to the side of your face and hold the curling iron vertically underneath the hair. Curl the entire section as a whole first, then go back and recurl smaller sections.
4.) Run a large bristle/paddle brush through your hair lightly, and then spray with hairspray.
